FIRST FEW WEEKS AFTER DELVERY

This page is going to be more link heavy than word heavy.

Why? Because in those first few weeks, you need resources not heaps of reading.

The most important thing is to BE KIND TO YOURSELF! As a new mum, and especially if you’re a first time mum, these early days can be hard, overwhelming and scary. If you have any questions or concerns, rather than just google and stress yourself out, please, see a health care professional.

I’ll add to this page as I think of more things that you might need but for the moment, here’s what I have. There’s a lot of practical advice I think about how to store baby’s milk, be it breast or formula, and some general information for mum too. Hope you find it helpful.

One thing that I do want to say, is that in these first few early days and weeks, when you’re questioning if you’re doing anything correct (whilst still basking in the glow on new born awe and love), I want to say that you are doing an AMAZING job. If you feel like you’re struggling, that’s ok too. Please touch base with your GP as soon as possible.

HELP LINES FOR MEDICINES

Please note – the FIRST TWO links are for two resources that YOU (the GENERAL PUBLIC, WITHIN OFFICE HOURS) Can call IF you have been prescribed a medication, or you want to TAKE a medication and you are UNSURE IF IT IS SAFE in breast feeding.
