Dr Rosie Gentle
I’m a GP in Melbourne’s east, who as well as general medicine, loves all things pregnancy, pregnancy planning, contraception, women’s health and children’s medicine and helping couples through infertility. I do shared care through Eastern Health (Box Hill and Angliss Hospital), Monash Health, The Women’s Hospital, Mercy and many others.
I did my medical training through Monash University, and much of my training pre General Practice through Eastern Health. I fell in love with General Practice whilst a medical student doing a placement in Berwick. I adored the longevity that it provided, as well as the fact you could make a real difference in peoples lives, whilst your walked along side them.
Medicine aside, what about me?
Well, I grew up in the eastern suburbs so know the area well. I have two young children who have both aged me, and kept me young, but are most certainly the biggest achievements in my life.
I love spending time with my family, pets, walking, cooking and going to the gym, as I find it keeps me grounded and level headed, even more than the fitness aspect which is great too.
I sew when I can, though given all the sewing I did during COVID (scrubs, scrub hats and gowns), I have found myself taking a small break from that at the moment. When I find some more time, perhaps I’ll get back to it more.
